OUR SELF-DEFENCE CLASSES
There are three types of self-defence classes in Leeds available at Valor Martial Arts. All classes are designed to give you an understanding of two of the sport’s most popular sub-categories – kickboxing and krav maga – while also challenging you to exit your comfort zone. Our classes include:
Little Warriors
Reserved for 5 to 7-year-olds, this martial arts class can help young ones improve their coordination and focus.
Juniors
This class helps children aged between 8 and 12 improve their self-defence skills while encouraging them to new friends and connections.
Teens & Adults
This self-defence programme is designed to help you improve physical and mental strength while trying your hand at a recreational sport.

Our Unique self-defence program
We have successfully combined the best aspects of kickboxing and krav maga to create a truly innovative martial arts programme. We’ve focused on including elements from each sport that can help improve skills that you can use beyond the classroom.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sport that focuses on kicking and punching techniques.
It’s one of the world’s most popular combat sports and is suitable for all ages when it comes to improving fitness, reducing stress or for recreational purposes.
KRAv Maga
Otherwise known as ‘contact combat’, this is a modern sport developed in the 1950s premised around dynamic self-defence and fighting system.
Originally taught to the Israeli military, this combat sport encourages you to channel martial arts into real-life scenarios for better application and efficiency.

Yes. We welcome children and adults of all ages and start classes by teaching the most basic techniques and tactics.

Our classes are between 45 and 60 minutes long.
